Partner William J. Zee Selected for Legal Excellence Award

Central Penn Business Journal has selected William J. Zee, Chair of Education Law Group, Appel, Yost & Zee LLP, as a 2021 Legal Excellence Award recipient.

Launched this year, Legal Excellence Awards honor Central Pennsylvania’s top leaders in law – lawyers, judges and legal professionals – whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding.

Awards are presented in several categories. They include Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Civil Legal Services, In House Counsel, Law Firm Administrator, Leaders in Law, Lifetime Achievement, Paralegal, Pro Bono Excellence and Up and Coming Lawyers. The winners were selected by the Central Penn Business Journal staff.

"The 2021 Legal Excellence honorees are top leaders in the law community. They are dedicated to their profession and to the areas in which they work and live," said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, senior group publisher of Central Penn Business Journal. "They have helped to shape the legal landscape in Central Pennsylvania, and we at the Central Penn Business Journal are pleased to recognize them for their accomplishments."

Winners will be recognized in video features from Nov. 1-5 at CPBJ.com, through social media channels and in the daily email newsletter. The video roll out schedule by category is Nov. 1, Up and Coming Lawyers; Nov. 2, In House Counsel; Nov. 3, Paralegals and Law Firm Administrators; Nov. 4, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Leaders in Law, ProBono Excellence and Civil Legal Services; and Nov. 5, Lifetime Achievement.

“I am honored to have our School Law team recognized for our hard work on behalf of our clients. We recognize the difficulties you have been faced with during this pandemic, and we are proud to work closely with you on behalf of all students,” said Zee of his award.

Honorees will be profiled in a magazine that will be inserted into the Nov. 12 issue of Central Penn Business Journal and will be available online at CPBJ.com.
