Partner William J. Zee named a 2020 Legal Trailblazer

Education Law Group Chair and Partner William J. Zee has been named one of the Legal Intelligencer’s 2020 Pennsylvania Trailblazers.  

The selection committee commended Zee for his trailblazing role in demystifying student trauma for educational practitioners. In addition to counseling educational institutions on a wide range of legal topics, Zee’s impact on the practice of education law is evident through his efforts to foster a greater understanding of complex childhood trauma among the educational community, legislators, and fellow legal professionals.

The “Trailblazer” designation highlights legal professionals who serve as agents of change. Attorneys who are selected for this annual award have made significant marks on the practice, policy, or technological advancement of their area of law. Zee’s work has been instrumental in expanding the development of trauma-informed environments and support services for children.

Zee provides presentations and trainings across the state and nationally. In 2020 he worked extensively with the Pennsylvania School Board Association to develop childhood trauma trainings and recommended school board policies.
