Managing Partner Jeffrey P. Ouellet Honored with LBA Achievement Award

Last week at the Annual Lancaster Bar Association Dinner, two Appel, Yost & Zee attorneys were honored with awards for their service to the LBA.

Managing Partner Jeffrey P. Ouellet received the “Achievement Award” for his commitment to the mission of the LBA. During his time as a member, Jeff has served as a President of the Lancaster Bar Association in 2015, and he still serves as the Treasurer for the charitable arm of the LBA, the Lancaster Law Foundation. He also serves as the Chair of the LBA’s Judiciary Committee which is tasked with evaluating candidates for the local bench. Jeff was honored with the 2012 LBA President’s Award for his contributions to the LBA, and the 2022 LBA Service Award for his work to update the process through which judicial candidates are vetted and endorsed.

In addition to Jeff's award, Samuel M. Mecum was awarded for his fifty years of membership with the LBA. In 2023, Sam received the “Achievement Award” for his long standing dedication to the LBA. Sam has served in innumerable positions of leadership including, most notably, being the LBA President in 2006. Sam also served as the chair of the Law Review for significant time periods and has received the Access to Justice Award in the past for his commitment to pro bono service.
