The White House released a new toolkit for federal resources to address school infrastructure needs. The toolkit focuses on improving school facilities for the health of students, staff and the environment.
“The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to upgrading school facilities to create healthier learning environments, improve air quality, and lower energy bills for schools around the country,” states the guidance.
The toolkit offers sources for funding from federal agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, Energy, Treasury and Education. It also compiles tools and programs for schools to reference in their effort to improve air quality, remove lead, plan for natural disasters, and move towards energy efficiency.
