KEVIN M. FRENCH
Kevin M. French counsels clients as an Education Law and Civil Litigation attorney. With over 30 years of litigation experience in solo and private practice, Kevin brings robust legal knowledge and advice for government agencies and individuals. Kevin has served public schools in expulsion proceedings, first amendment, construction, and other litigation matters for 20 years of his career. He has represented Pennsylvania school districts in Sunshine Act litigation as well as against federal age and sex discrimination claims. Kevin also defended school districts in front of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
In his litigation practice, Kevin has obtained positive results for clients in a range of cases, including landlord-tenant matters, collections, contract and lease negotiations, corporate governance and insurance litigation, property damage, employment discrimination defense, civil rights, and election law.
Kevin assists AYZ school law clients in matters concerning the Right-to-Know Law, Title IX, contract and policy review, and construction. He bolsters the AYZ litigation group, representing clients as they pursue civil litigation matters in his area of expertise. Kevin earned his undergraduate degree at the Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor at Dickinson School of Law. Serving as a former Co-Chair and Vice Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Committee on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility and currently as a committee member, the PBA honored Kevin with an Award for Special Service. Kevin has routinely presented on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and Lancaster Bar Association on ethics and professional responsibility. Kevin chairs the firm's AI committee.
